While researching options to improve a test track monitoring system I came across some interesting new options. Our current system uses a 1U Rackmount LCD Monitor with an integrated keyboard and I wanted to streamline the rack. What I found was a Widescreen 17” 6U 1080p Rackmount LCD that supports native High Definition resolutions including 1920x1080(1080P). How is this advantage over a 1U LCD with Keyboard? This HD Rackmount LCD can be equipped with a capacitive or resistive touch screen. For many everyday uses this might not be considered an advantage, but for specialized equipment that uses the newer touch interface operating systems such as Windows 8 and dedicated applications it can be quite effective.
This Rack mount LCD 1080p display also comes equipped with an array of interfaces including HDMI with speakers, DVI-D, VGA and Composite BNC which allows it to play well with new and old computers, cameras, and other equipment. Another great option that can be configured with this display is the DC power supply. Many monitors are only available with AC power supplies and require adding other equipment like power inverters when being used in mobile configurations.
