New Range of 1920x1080p Rackmount Monitor Keyboard Solutions

While installing several new servers this past week I was struck by how many of the new servers come with HDMI ports. We are a small company and don’t upgrade often so our KVM gear is currently based on VGA. Now that our servers support HD 1080p (1920x1080) resolutions, I was wondering if it would be possible to upgrade to a 1920x1080 High Definition 1080p Rackmount Monitor Keyboard which supports video signals as well. Thanks to the discounts we received on the servers I should be able to get purchase approved for a few of these units.

High Definition 1080p Rackmount LCD Monitor for Government, IT and Industrial Applications

While researching options to improve a test track monitoring system I came across some interesting new options. Our current system uses a 1U Rackmount LCD Monitor with an integrated keyboard and I wanted to streamline the rack. What I found was a Widescreen 17” 6U 1080p Rackmount LCD that supports native High Definition resolutions including 1920x1080(1080P). How is this advantage over a 1U LCD with Keyboard? This HD Rackmount LCD can be equipped with a capacitive or resistive touch screen. For many everyday uses this might not be considered an advantage, but for specialized equipment that uses the newer touch interface operating systems such as Windows 8 and dedicated applications it can be quite effective.

Another great option that can be configured with this display is the DC power supply. Many monitors are only available with AC power supplies and require adding other equipment like power inverters when being used in mobile configurations.
